Now Webkinz World has released new KinzChart PLUS feature in the Virtual Clubhouse, where members are able to communicate with other members by creating their own messages.

There is a word library restricted by Webkinz World, with KinzChat PLUS, members are limited to using restricted words. WebKinz has eliminted notorious numbers, most common names, the names of places and a list of inappropriate words in the restricted word library.


Parental consent is required to entre the Clubhouse’s KinzChat PLUS. Children can provide parents-email and the system will send an email to parents to gain permission before access granted. If you want to prevent your children from accessing the KinzChat PLUS, you can start the configuration in the Clubhouse by the creation of a parent account. The access can be fully clocked for a child at any age and any time. Parents have full control. You can remove your block later by simply clicking in your account.

About the Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is a place for your children to communicate and interact with their friends and make new friends! It is a wonderful to discuss almost everything-but a security topic, such as the school works, plays, cooks, funny stuffs, games, and their pets Webkinz. There are two distinct area in the Clubhouse, namely KinzChat and KinzChat Plus.

Area KinzChat

The area KinzChat allow members to chat using the same system currently in their rooms when friends come to visit. KinzChat allows a pre-selected messages from menus. Member CANNOT build their own message. Therefore KinzChat is a safe place to chat. This area is open access to all members, no special permission is required.

KinzChat zone Plus

Members can build their own messages KinzChat Plus area. In order to create an environment guided chat, members are limited to using words from a world library. WebKinz has eliminted notorious numbers, the most common names, the names of places and a list of inappropriate words in the restricted library. If members trying to use a word restricted. The word will be highlighted in red and he or she will not be able to send the message. In addition, misspelled words are not able to send too.

How does it work?

words typed by members are scanned and filtered by KinzChat Plus library, inappropriate and misspelled words in red and will not be able to send messages. For example: *

* I will punch you!
* I stay at 503 Windermere. Call me!

Note the words will be in red as those words are limited, numbers or figures are not the words allow. None of these sentenses could be sent. However, the parent has control over the granting permission KinzChat PLUS. Members will need parental permission to access KinzChat Plus area and the parent will notify via email.

Upon receive e-mails, click the accept link to enable your child in the area KinzChat PLUS. To disable KinzChat PLUS, click on the link decline or simply ignore the message. Parent will be notified each time.

If you deciede permanently disable KinzChat PLUS, you can log into your account and block access to your child KinzChat PLUS and no future access request will be received. You can create or remove the block at any time. Parental control is password protected to the double confirm the response.

Safety

WebKinz Clubhouse has a reporting feature, where parents and children can immediately report inappropriate chat with another member of WebKinz for further investigation, WebKinz will investigate or, at worst, close the account if the case to be true. Children are encouraged to report inappropriate activities in the system to help maintain a good learning environment.

The parental supervision are encouraging all times during your child plays in the club.

Time limit on the child

Webkinz world is a nice place to play. In order to limit the overuse of your children, here are some guidelines to impose time limits on Webkinz World:

1. Reward your children to play in World WebKinz should they finished their homework
2. Pre-set with your children on the amount of time allowed
3. Encourage activities offline with Webkinz of plush toys
